Robert Wolcott - Moderator: Wolcott is Co-Founder & Executive Director of the Kellogg Innovation Network (KIN) and a Clinical Professor of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University and formerly a visiting professor at the Keio Business School (Japan). Wolcott won Teacher of the Year from Kellogg’s EMBA program in 2013, 2014 and 2015. He has served on the advisory boards of Nordic Innovation for the Nordic Council, Oslo, Norway; the Kraft Foods Global Technology Council (GTC); and GE’s Innovation Accelerator. Wolcott is also a managing partner with Clareo, a growth strategy consultancy serving senior executives at global corporations such as Exelon, Castrol, Johnson Controls, Owens Corning and others.
William Singleton - Panelist (Wrigley): William serves as the New Ventures Program Leader at Wrigley in Chicago where he directs and coordinates the actions of a cross-functional team in relentless search of new transaction opportunities in the marketplace. William is a dynamic speaker and energetic leader. He also spends his free time helping a wide range of small businesses and inventors in the local community with innovation strategy, sales planning, and product development.
Elizabeth Spenko - Panelist (Northern Trust): Elizabeth is the Director of the Northern Lab and joined Northern Trust in early 2015. The Northern Lab is a group of designers and researchers focused on identifying, incubating, and designing experiences that enhance client and partner interactions through a human-centered process. Prior to joining Northern Trust, Elizabeth led the service design practice at the IDEO Chicago studio. Elizabeth and her team utilized a human centered design process in partnership with clients across a wide range of industries. Among them were PNC and State Farm, where she led teams that designed a series of award-winning digital and retail experiences focused on enhancing employee engagement as well as helping people identify and achieve their financial goals. Prior to IDEO, Elizabeth launched new ventures as a Vice President at Sandbox Industries and worked at a management consulting firm called Norbridge. Elizabeth has a BA in Economics from Northwestern University and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. She serves on the Regional Board for Northwestern University.
Ty Findley - Panelist (GE): Ty is a Sr. Associate where he focuses on early stage and growth equity investments in advanced manufacturing technologies. Ty joined the GE Ventures team after graduating from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. Prior to joining GE Ventures, Ty was a product development engineer at Boeing working in the New Airplane Studies team and he also completed enterprise rotation assignments in the Engineering Leadership Development program. Ty was also previously a Venture Fellow analyst at G51 Capital, an Austin-based venture capital firm. Ty received his Bachelors of Mechanical Engineering from Baylor University.
