DriveElectricTN Chapter Meeting for Northeast Tennessee - #1
Event Information
About this Event
You’re invited to be a part of the development of a DriveElectricTN (DET) Chapter for Northeast Tennessee that is tentatively being called the “Appalachian Highlands Chapter.” This online (Zoom) meeting will be held from 2-3pm on Feb. 25.
Join us to be part of one of the fastest growing movements of alternative fuel vehicles: the electric vehicle, or EV. We welcome you whether you are new to the EV movement or an EV enthusiast, advocate and/or owner that supports and understands the value of electric vehicles and its direct impact on our state economy, domestic energy investment, health and environment.
The purpose of this Chapter will be to support the DET vision of becoming an electric transportation leader and see 200,000 EVs on our state’s roads by 2028. As a local Chapter we’ll promote, educate, and encourage EV adoption through programs and events that our group will plan and execute.
This Chapter includes the Tri-Cities and surrounding urban and rural communities in the region. Anyone interested in EVs is welcome:
- Individuals
- Plug-in EV owners
- Utilities
- Dealerships
- Transportation Directors
- Chambers of Commerce
- Economic Development representatives
- State Representatives
- Local elected officials
- Environmental supporters and organizations
- Schools, colleges, universities
- Health systems
- and more!
If you know of someone who has an interest in joining this Chapter, please feel free to invite them and encourage them to register. We look forward to meeting you!
Please call, email or text if you have any questions.
