Volunteer trainer: Todd Fox, Vice President Southern U.S. Operations, Nabors
Title: "Overview of Modern Drilling Rig Technology and Capabilities"
Abstract: Overview of the current state of the domestic and international oil and gas drilling environment including rig types, well types, and technologies used to drill the most advanced wells in the world.
Todd currently oversees Nabors U.S. Southern drilling operations which include Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Louisiana, and U.S. Offshore. He has held various roles in his 12 years with Nabors including Vice President Engineering, Area Manager- Wyoming, Area Manager- Colorado, and Project Manager. Todd holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and was formerly a U.S. Naval Officer.

Volunteer Trainer: Stephen Pink, Services Director for US and Canada, NOV
Title: "Closed Loop Drilling Automation"
Abstract: NOV employs a closed-loop drilling system which feeds high-speed data from drilling into state-of-the-art autonomous rig controls. These controls optimize the well construction process and allow improved decision making using real-time analytics. Higher levels of performance and efficiency can be gained out of entire rig fleets. In this presentation, Mr. Stephen Pink will explain the technical and commercial benefits of this innovative drilling automation in the current tough economic environment.
Following service in Her Majesty’s Royal Navy and completing a BSc in Geology, Stephen J. Pink joined the Oil Industry in 1997. From 1997 to 2012, positions as a Mudlogging Geologist, MWD Field Engineer and General Field Engineer took him to over 35 countries from North Africa to Southeast Asia to North America. He has specialized in all aspects of reservoir evaluation, petrophysics, advanced drilling dynamics, surveying and directional drilling. In 2012 Stephen’s career and experience led him to National Oilwell Varco. Based in Dubai UAE, his team delivered integrated drilling solutions and optimization plans to NOV’s clients. Stephen relocated to Houston, Texas in December 2015 and as Services Director he is currently responsible for all Drilling Automation and Optimization operations in the USA and Canada for NOV Dynamic Drilling Solutions.

Title: "Real Value from Real Time Drilling Data"
Abstract: The VuMax system is designed specifically for converting real-time and historical drilling data into a visual displays of actual operations. VuMax is ideal for monitoring, alarming, operational performance analysis and drilling optimization of all the wells drilled by your organization.
VuMax assists the operator in quickly visualizing and analyzing critical drill floor information, which results in proactive decision making, more efficient operations, and most importantly, cost controls.
The system has the ability to monitor 100’s of live wells simultaneously, from any WITSML source worldwide. And most importantly, the data resides in your office for use in future operations.
Tammy is a career Oilfield Professional. She began her career at 17 working for Shell in Hobbs, NM as a Production Clerk. Throughout the past 33 years she has worn many hats. Tam as her friends and colleagues know her, has spent a lifetime engaging a vast network of contacts and developing life-long relationships. She is happiest when standing in front of a room full of eager engineers, training them in the use of the software tools in which she is an expert. Currently, she is Director of Client Services for ETECH International where she is responsible for client development, training, and support programs, in addition to developing, implementing, installing, and maintaining real-time drilling and completions software protocols for numerous oil and gas operators and service companies. Tammy is mother to one son, Josh who is a Certified Rehabilitation Therapist, and two Bouvier des Flandres dogs.
