Event description

Description

**Dr. Marar's Human Rights Class at Menlo College is HOSTING AN ART SHOW on APRIL 25th at 6 PM in the Student Union. We are SEEKING ARTISTS that have immigrated to the U.S. to submit art forms about DACA, Dreamers, immigration, deportation, or anything related to this topic.

The purpose of the “Dreams Without Borders” Art Show is about UNCOVERING what it means to be an immigrant in the United States. We want to raise AWARENESS to those who are not familiar with immigration and what it truly means to be an immigrant within the borders of the United States.

Art is universal beyond language, ethnicity, and nationality; it unites people by breaking down barriers between cultures.

Art can be expressed by more than just paint on a canvas.

**WE ARE ASKING PEOPLE TO SUBMIT ART FORMS RELATED TO THIS SUBJECT. This can include poems, speeches, sketches, paintings, videos, pottery, performing arts, or any other form of art. We want to include a wide variety of art pieces, video, speech, and performing arts. Your piece can be anonymous or published with your name, as creative or simple as you'd like. We encourage you to participate! If you would like to submit a piece for viewing please click here!

We will contact all people who want to submit an art piece with more information.
