Description
Conservation Nebraska is proud to present the Hamilton County premiere of Dreaming of a Vetter World, the new documentary film about the Vetter family and their Marquette farm known as The Grain Place. This hometown screening takes place in conjunction with Grain Place Foundation's Annual Field Day, Saturday, July 13 (see below for more info).
The screening will be followed by a reception and Q&A with David Vetter, Montana farmer and author Bob Quinn, and his co-aurther Liz Carlisle. It is sponsored by Pinnacle Bank at The Ivy, 1103 K St. Aurora. Free snacks and beverages!
The film examines the history and challenges the Vetters faced transitioning from conventional farming after WWII to the organic management system they use today. It’s also a story about love, hope, family, and place; an inspiring example of perseverance and doing what you know is right–against all odds.
Also featured: Donald Vetter, Rojean Vetter, Allison Vetter, Darci Vetter, Bill and Jan Whitney, Ed Dadey, and others.
"On the Vetter farm, their most important crop is the soil."
