Why is it an DRE experience?
Well, if you ever had the opportunity to watch Andre Emmett workout, it was an amazing experience. His attention to detail, focus, and willingness to be coachable always were strong attributes for him. Now you as a player have an opportunity to perform a DRE workout.
Coach Akil Simpson, Board Member and Coach Charlie Miller, President of DRE, put together the workout in honor of Andre’s individual basketball workout spirit.
What is the DRE Basketball Experience?
You will have the opportunity to perform DRE’s Individual Basketball Workout Plan and train like he did. What's cool about this? We will send you the workout with videos to support the drills, in case you didn’t know how to perform them. We also will provide you with a calendar as Andre kept a tight schedule when it came to him focusing on his basketball game, on and off the court. The calendar will guide you on how to prepare and plan your workouts for the entire week.
The players selected will have the opportunity to also learn essential life skills shared from Andre’s closest circle of people that he trusted and sought advice from to keep him balanced as a professional basketball player. The essential life skills will cover topics like Mental and Emotional IQ, The Importance of Creating Daily Routines, Time Management and much more.
As a bonus, all players will have the opportunity to win prizes by submitting videos of them performing Time and Score Drills. These drills are intense basketball drills that Andre would do at the end of his workouts to really challenge himself and push himself spiritually, mentally, physically, emotionally. What is the DRE Basketball Experience Schedule?
December 12th: Skills presentations/workshop and First day of Virtual Drills *You must attend in order to participate in the challenge*
December 13-19th: Virtual individual Workout and Drills Challenge.
December 19th: Deadline to post video by 8pm CST
Winners will be announced by December 21st.
