Musician Bios:

TOTALLY AUTOMATIC

Totally Automatic was formed by Anne Ishii, Eugene Lew and Matthew Smith Lee in the summer of 2021. They play unarranged music with each other, on drums, saxophone and electronics, and can be found around Philadelphia.

Jordan Deal

Jordan Deal’s densely layered field recordings, samplings, and live instrumentations explores the use of urban mythbuilding, Blackness as creative destruction, and dialectics and borders as a generative and investigative tool that harnesses and disperses CHAOS as a subversive material. They use their weavings as pathways of mapping State violence, colonial paradigms, undead/dead knowledge, and counteractive (inherently oppositional) forces found in ritual and celebration. They are currently based in Philadelphia.

Ishtar Sr.

Ishtar Sr. is a Philadelphian rapper/singer/multi-genre producer (they, she). They are a member of Grimalkin Records, a part of the West Philly-based black radical art collective Bad Apple Commune, and several other bands/groups/outfits. She specializes in the creation of musical projects that take listeners on wild experimental journeys, blending sounds that vary from alt-R&B to electronic dance to abstract hip hop and anything in between.
