Dream in Green- Setting the Standard
Dream in Green will host its eighth annual fundraiser, “Setting the Standard” on April 11th at The Standard Spa Hotel in Miami Beach. The affair kicks off with the presentation of the 2014 Green Innovator Awards, recognizing local companies for undertaking green initiatives. The evening’s festivities also include a silent auction, green fashion show, and a cocktail reception featuring lavish hors d’oeuvres and premium drinks.
We expect over 250 attendees from schools, corporations, government agencies, and community-based organizations with an interest in creating a greener Miami. Proceeds from the event will be used for Dream in Green’s educational programs that empower youth and the community to help mitigate the impacts of climate change.

When & Where
Dream in Green
Dream in Green’s mission is to empower individuals to respond to climate change and other environmental challenges facing local and global communities.
We assist diverse organizations, including schools, households, local governments and businesses to reduce their environmental footprint. Through establishing partnerships in our community, we develop, implement and oversee educational programs and workshops that promote environmentally sustainable behaviors among all age groups, with a particular emphasis on K-12 students.
To date, our programs have served 280 unique schools and 84,000 individuals, roughly 58,500 of which were K-12 students. Our partner schools have helped to conserve 20.1 million kilowatt hours of electricity, which saved 2.1 million dollars and reduced or offset 30.6 million pounds of carbon emissions.
