Event description
Join for the Drake Challenge Cup benefiting friend and teammate, Tony Sekera. Sunday's event will feature two championship matches.

About this event

Named after The Drake Oak Brook Hotel, this beautiful brass trophy has been played for since 1964 by some of the most celebrated polo players in American history during the Club's glory days.

Sunday's match will host the 5th Annual "Team Up For Tony" Benefit Polo Tournament Finals for our friend and teammate, Tony Sekera. In early June of 2017, during a solo stick and ball practice, Tony suffered a devastating spinal cord injury that has left him thus far paralyzed below his shoulders. As a result, Tony will always have to rely on 24/7 nursing care.

The event will host two Championship matches (4-Goal Master's Cup & 12-Goal Sportsmanship Cup) featuring local and out-of-state teams and players. Proceeds collected from the benefit match will be given to the Sekera family for the care of Tony Sekera and intensive therapy. Cash and check donations will be collected at the polo match.
