About the organizer
★ DJ Paul V. is a mainstay in the LA and Silver Lake queer mixed nightlife scene. His eclectic club and radio DJ career began in 1981 in Boston as the resident DJ at the iconic MAN RAY, SPIT, and AXIS nightclubs ★★ He arrived in LA in 1988, hired to do Alternative Radio Promotion for Warner Brothers Records, as his LA club career flourished as co-creator and DJ/promoter at legendary clubs like DRAGSTRIP 66, SPIT LA, and BOOTIE LA (the all-mashup dance party). He’s often booked to DJ concerts, such as Robyn, Peaches, P.I.L., LCD Soundsystem, Miike Snow, Lorde, OMD, The Gossip among others, and for benefit events curated by Outfest, The Getty, World Of Wonder, Project Angel Food, The Trevor Project.
★ Paul hit LA radio on Indie 103.1 FM with his "Mashup Of The Day” and Friday "Smash Mix” (2005-2009) and created classic and alt rock mashup DJ mixes for “The KLOS Mash Pit” on the legendary KLOS 95.5 FM (2019).
★ He's also the creator and curator of BornThisWayBlog.com (and accompanying published book sharing global growing up LGBTQ stories and photos) and is at work co-producing “Dragstrip 66: The Frockumentary”
