Dragon Gauntlet: Chapter Three

By Rain and Revelry Events, LLC

Overview

Mount your dragon and take to the sky as we journey to the battle post at Boyne Mountain.

Mount your dragon and take to the sky as we journey to the battle post at Boyne Mountain. This location has long been home to The Northern Vale’s prestigious training course: The Dragon Gauntlet. Only those cadets forged in its fire have ever prevailed. Now, with the shifting tides of fate and war, your preparation is no longer a matter of prestige—it is a matter of survival. New alliances are being forged, the wards are expanding, and the very foundations of the world tremble. The revolution has begun. Where does your loyalty lie?

- Friday Night, Sept. 11th, 2026 -

The Dragon Gauntlet: Chapter 3 will commence Friday evening as dragon riders descend on Boyne City. For one night, our quaint town will transform into The Northern Vale, where candidates and cadets can mingle and meander the streets. The weekend will kick off with a Rain and Revelry Birthday party as we celebrate 3 years of making magic with our beloved community! Enjoy sweet treats from our sister company, Tootsie Bluffins, before attending the Fantasy Fangirls’ lakeside liveshow. Grab a blanket to sprawl out on the grass with fellow cadets as we watch two sisters dive deeppppppp into fantasy books and lore!

After the live show has concluded, we welcome you to step into the City of Boyne as a Dragon Rider Block Party unfolds: Shop curated bookish vendors, visit participating businesses for themed menus, and enjoy live entertainment strewn about the streets! Flaunt your Rider fashion in cosplay contests at Muskrat Distillery—a chance to show your true colors in this time of uprising. Special discounts will be available for all second and third year cadets!

- Saturday Morning, September 12th, 2026 -

As dawn breaks over Boyne Mountain, soar up the hillside, by means of the Hemlock lift, to face your first task of the day. Candidates and seasoned cadets will cross the parapet, the world’s longest timber-tower suspension bridge before gathering at Formation where your tactical swag bag and codex await to guide you through your day of training. Enjoy themed activities like friendship-bracelet-making and guided stretches before Battle Brief with your commanding officer.

Upon the conclusion of Battle Brief, rally your squad and venture down the mountain. Employ your strength and endurance as you encounter obstacles at each bend. Strategize your path forward as you wield knowledge from across the quadrants to unravel riddles and word problems: to come out on top, the most obvious route may not serve you—a lesson critical to any successful revolution.

- Saturday Night -

You've spent the day training like a dragon rider and now it's time to party like one! Dawn your finery and dine like Rain & Revelry royalty while you mingle with fellow cadets, indulge in decadent libations, and dance the night away. Claim your rank as your feats are recognized at the Dragon Gauntlet Awards Ceremony and be entered for a chance to win magical treasures from our trove. This year we congratulate our first ever DRAGON GAUNTLET GRADUATES, in this monumental evening that marks the forging of the revolution's first leaders!

For one weekend of the year, we invite you to join us at this uniquely immersive, bookish experience... Where reality is forgotten and dragon riders are forged in fire and friendship... Where we remember to live like there may not be a tomorrow and seize the moment in front of us!
