Sunday, April 30, 2017, 2:30 pm: Dr. Ronni Sanlo, educator and author.

Time travel, Holocaust history, and the power of Love.

Teens are encouraged to attend.

Based on actual correspondence between her parents during the final months of WWII, Dr. Ronni Sanlo has written a fictional account of a 21st century, time-traveling teenager who witnesses the the horrors of the Holocaust first hand and experiences the liberation of Dachau through her great-grandfather’s eyes. Sanlo will share her inspiration to write her book, her additional research and share selections from the book, itself. Dr. Sanlo is a writer and retired UCLA professor. She was the founding director of both the University of Michigan and UCLA LGBT Centers. ~Sanlo, a gifted historian and storyteller, inspires readers of all ages to follow the path of humanity, respect, and dignity. offers a genetic explanation for current events, business trends and individual behavior. Costa is a globally respected speaker on the subject of “fast adaptation” and is presently preparing to release a new book on the brave new world of predictive analytics. Thursday, February 16, 2017, 7:00 pm: Gabriel Cordell screens "Roll with Me." After a near-death accident left him a paraplegic, Gabriel Cordell overcame his drug addiction & set out to cross the United States in a manual wheelchair. The film, “Roll with Me” documents this 99-day journey, a compelling story of stamina, fortitude and love ~a demonstration that the power of the human will is limitless. Watch his documentary film, “Roll with Me” followed by a Q & A with Gabriel.


What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

Congregation Am HaYam is located at 4839 Market St. between Telephone and Victoria. We share a parking lot with the Santa Barbara Business College. (SBBC) Enter via the driveways on either side and park. Our entrance is at the rear of the building.
