Event description

Description

Many people take the "day off" for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, but each year, City Year sites across the country commemorate Dr. King's legacy with a "day on" for service.

In 2017, 200+ volunteers helped City Year Tulsa beautify McLain Jr and Senior High. In 2018, 400+ volunteers came together at Hale High School. This year, we will continue our legacy of bringing Tulsans together in service and celebration to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s life and work.

Join us and up to 400 volunteers made up of AmeriCorps members, students, community and corporate partners to help transform and beautify Hale Jr. High School.

Projects include: murals, painting and light construction projects in an effort to reconnect, transform, uplift, and inspire the students, staff, and community. Please help us spread the word, and we look forward to spending our day ON with you!
