Join us and voyage to foreign lands as world famous neurologist and herbal researcher Dr. Ethan Russo, MD shares stories and photographs from his journeys to the Rif Mountains of Morocco to investigate the benefits of cannabis on night vision, and to far western China to document the use of cannabis by a shaman of the Gushi tribe some 2700 years ago.
This never before seen presentation is for anyone with an interest in cannabis, medicine, early civilization, history, travel or adventure. This presentation will be suitable for audiences of all ages. There will be time for questions.
The photographs will be shown on the cinema screen and Dr. Russo will present from an elevated podium with a microphone. The lights in the theater will be turned down as it would be for a movie, so those with light sensitivity can feel comfortable attending. Theater concessions will be open as well.
The $5.00 ticket price is ridiculously low to hear Dr. Russo speak. He normally presents at exclusive and expensive scientific conventions. We wanted to keep the ticket price low so anyone with an interest in the topic can attend because this kind of historical/anthropological research about humans and cannabis should be available to everyone on Vashon Island.
Tickets will be available at the door, but, if you wish to guarantee your seat, you can pre-purchase your ticket via Eventbrite in advance. Tickets at the door will be CASH ONLY. The last time Dr Russo spoke on Vashon Island the event sold out and people came from as far as Oregon and Idaho, so we now offer advance tickets to make sure that folks traveling that far can make the trip knowing they are certain to get inside. We booked a location three times the size of the last venue so we expect to be able to fit everyone. If you want further assurance, feel free to purchase advance tickets.
The event is generously sponsored by two of Vashon Island's licensed cannabis growers. Thank you to Vashon Velvet and Vashon Island Organics for supporting the event! Be sure to ask for Vashon Island grown cannabis when you next visit a licensed retailer!
