Doylestown Holiday Lights Bike Ride 2020
Event Information
Event description
An annual tradition, this year with COVID precautions and a focus on supporting Doylestown shops and sharing joy. Please read the details!
About this Event
Our ride this year will be very different. Please read all the details!
Register and you'll receive a route map with a central loop through the heart of town that you can ride as many times you wish. The route will also have options for extending your ride through town to see more lights and sights off the main loop. The main loop with be family-friendly, but please remember it's in the dark on streets with cars. Young kids should be on adult-powered bikes.
- All riders must wear a mask or other fabric covering their mouth and nose. No exceptions. Let's spread holiday joy, not COVID.
- Riders must keep 6ft physical distance from everyone they don't live with.
- This is a bike ride in the dark on open streets. Obey all traffic signals and signs. Really: stop at red lights and stop signs and please look out for each other.
- This is a DIY ride, please carry the map or know the route. Ride in small groups to help with physical distancing. Hopefully next year we can do a huge group ride again.
- Our ride coincides with many Doylestown shops staying open late. Please stop and support a few!
- You'll receive the route map a few days before the ride via email. If we need to reschedule because of weather, you'll get an email about that too.
- Literally light up yourselves and your bike as much as you can. Use a light on your handlebars or helmet and a tail light. Costumes are encouraged! Be seen from space! Battery operated lights are perfect here, just be sure everything's clear of your steering and wheels. Bring the joy!
