Join Mohawk Valley Population Health Improvement Program in welcoming a nationally known public health and planning consultant, Mark Fenton, to the region. Mark will be delivering interactive and dynamic workshops in several communities accross the Mohawk Valley. Attend a workshop in your area or join us for multiple events.

  • Tuesday, October 3 (8-10:30 a.m.): Schoharie County Workshop, Schoharie Reformed Church, 258 Main St, Schoharie
  • Tuesday, October 3 (1-4 p.m.): Otsego County Workshop, Foothills Performing Arts Center, 24 Market St, Oneonta
  • Wednesday, October 4 (12-3 p.m.): Herkimer & Otsego County Workshop, Community Center, 6 Ann St. Richfield Springs
  • Wednesday, October 4 (7:00-8:30 p.m.): Travelodge, 20 Albany St, Little Falls
  • Thursday, October 5 (8:30-11:00 a.m.): Fulton County Workshop, Fulton County CRG, 34 W Fulton St, Gloversville
  • Thursday, October 5 (1-3:30 p.m.): Montgomery County Workshop, Canajoharie Masonic Lodge, 9 Erie Blvd, Canajoharie

Learn how you can Bring Back Downtown & Strengthen the Social Fabric of Your Community Through:

  • Economic Development: Design a vibrant central business district & a better place for residents and businesses
  • Healthy Community Design: Create a unique sense of community and place; Plan & design communities to support healthy choices; Maximize the opportunity for physical activity; Encourage mixed-use development; Invest in active transportation solutions; Promote access to healthy food
  • Complete Streets Techniques: Cost-effective techniques toward a walkable and bikeable community that is safe and comfortable for people of all ages and abilities.
  • Improved Safety: Make travel safer in small and rural communities; Reduce accidents and injury; Support the Safe Routes to School program and increase safe places for children to play
  • Aging in Place: Support the ability to live in one's own home and community safely, independently, and comfortably, regardless of age, income, or ability level.
