Event description
Hear from keynote speakers and national best-selling authors James and Deborah Fallows while learning the latest on Downtown Hattiesburg.

About this Event

National best-selling authors Deborah and James Fallows of Our Towns, will be guest speakers at the Downtown Hattiesburg Annual Meeting set for February 20, 2019, at the Historic Train Depot from noon to 1:30pm.

Our Towns is a national best-selling story of the Fallows’ journey across many communities in “fly over country” where they have identified key components that lead to success in small and mid-sized towns and cities. Learn how Hattiesburg can maximize its future as the Fallows share their findings of America's most successful communities. Core to this message is the collaboration of key community partners and their commitment to working together!

Downtown Hattiesburg will share an economic recap for 2018 and an outlook along with an awards presentation.

Lunch is included in ticket price. Main Street Books will be selling copies of the Fallows' national best-seller for the two weeks leading up to the Downtown Hattiesburg 2019 Annual Meeting! An on-site book signing with the Fallows will be held following the annual meeting. (Our Towns, ISBN: 9780525432449)

A tremendous thank you to all of our sponsors for this event, including presenting sponsors Forrest General Hospital and Forrest County Board of Supervisors.
