Workshop Summary: Putting Your Best Foot Forward: Strategies for Professionalism in the Workplace
You are continually making impressions on supervisors, colleagues and customers in the work place whether you realize it or not. Professionalism is what sets you apart and gives you an edge in your career. This workshop will give you tips on how to enhance your professional image and demonstrate your competence on a daily basis. You will leave with common sense ideas on how to gain the confidence and respect of those around you and become known as the “consummate professional”.
Presenter Information: Mary Fachman
Mary Fachman holds a master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Iowa with a concentration in Human Resources Management. Her career path has spanned elementary and higher education as well as human resources management in the private sector. She was director of a federal job training program at Iowa Valley Community College, Placement Director at the Anderson School of Management at University of New Mexico and currently works as a career advisor at Arizona State University. Mary’s ultimate career goal is to be a best-selling author. She has written four novels and is currently working on a career book to help others follow their dreams.
