About this event
The Rocky Mountain Synthesizer Meet is hosting a gear swap. This will be our first face-to-face member event since February 2020 - yay!
Even if you are not buying or selling stop by band by and say hi.
INCLUDED GEAR - Items should be synth, multimedia, audio, or studio related. This includes mics, stands, amps, speakers, cases, stage lighting, projectors, cables, and hardware effects in addition to synths.
RULES AND KEY INFO
*** Registering implies you've read and agree to the following event and city venue rules ***
SAFETY – This is an outdoor event, but we still want to prevent the spread of COVID and disease. If you are sick or have been around anyone who has been sick, please skip the event. Masks will not be provided so bring your own if you plan to wear one. Despite all this, transmission of disease is possible so attend at your own risk.
GEAR DROP OFF AND PARKING - I've attached a graphic to the bottom of this invite illustrating locations for gear drop off and parking. Close in parking is a little tight with 18 spots so you may need to drop off your things and park in the nearby Rec Center lot, shown as “Even More Parking” on the image below. If you are not selling, please park in the Rec Center lot.
The walk from the “gear drop off” to the pavilion is 360 feet so consider bringing a dolly or something similar if you have a lot of gear.
SOUND – This is a Headphones only event. Bring headphones and adapters for ⅛” an ¼” jacks.
TABLES – There are four mesh picnic tables at this site already. They will fill up fast so bring a table in case you need it.
POWER STRIPS AND EXTENSION CORDS – This pavilion has a 2 outlet boxe. If you need power, bring an extension cord and power strip.
FOOD AND DRINK – We’re in a park. Make it a picnic by bringing your prepared food. No glass.
ALCOHOL – NO
BBQ GRILLS – NO
PETS – NO
FIREWORKS – NO
SMOKING AND VAPING – PROHIBITED BY LAW. It is unlawful to consume or use tobacco products or marijuana in any Louisville park at any time. Violations may result in a fine
TENTS – I don’t think we’ll need this sort of thing, but the city allows that tents can be erected using stakes no longer than 6 inches or water weights.
TRASH AND RECYCLABLE ITEMS – Please do not leave any trash, cans, papers, or other refuse anywhere other than in receptacles provided for such use. Glass containers are prohibited in all parks. If the park shelter is not cleaned up after use, or if any damage occurs, the renter will be assessed a fee. We encourage recycling and most of our parks are equipped with recyclable containers.
COMFORT AND FACILITIES - There are limited seating options so bring a chair if you think you'll want to sit. There are two flush bathrooms with sinks close to the pavilion.
SELLING GUIDELINES AND TIPS - It’s up to the buyers & sellers to sort out transaction details. I recommend sellers print out a price sheet for all their gear. Payment barcodes are always a good idea.
If you want to transact with something other than cash, have your PayPal or Venmo app set up and ready to go on your smartphone before the event so you are not fumbling around trying to remember your password at the event.
CONSIDER A DONTATION AT CHECKOUT
I paid the $75 rental fee so please consider a donation. There is an option to donate during registration checkout. This will help cover the venue rental fee plus other general meet operating expenses (such as our Annual Zoom Pro account fee which was $162.85 plus our $48 web hosting fee, both I which I paid this week).
