Celebrate Evil Theme Park Day at Videology with a double feature about, well, evil theme parks.
At 3pm, we'll have an advanced screening of ESCAPE FROM TOMORROW, the Sundance hit that, like ROOM 237, expectant cinephiles feared would disappear after its festival debut. ESCAPE FROM TOMORROW, a "horror-fantasy" written and directed by first-time filmmaker Randy Moore, was shot covertly at both Disneyland and Disney World.
After the film, Moore will participate in a Q&A hosted by guest programmer Simon Abrams, freelance film critic for the Village Voice, RogerEbert.com, and Esquire.
Then, following a short break, we'll screen 800 BULLETS, Alex de la Iglesia's 2002 black comedy about a down-on-his luck stuntman that makes it his mission to stop a vicious yuppy from erecting a new theme park.
Price of admission for this event includes both films, so be sure to stick around for the second movie!
