Description

Did you know that Detroit was a center of the abolitionist movement and an important site of the Underground Railroad?

Not only were African Americans leaders in this movement, the fight against slavery is what helped to create the African American community in Detroit!

Please come and learn on an exciting presentation about the people, the events, and the places that were a part of the fight for freedom in Detroit!

Also, learn about some of the homes and people in Oakland County who were a part of the Underground Railroad.
