Description

The City of Phoenix, the AZ Spinal Cord Injury Association and Ability 360 Sports and Fitness Center present a special edition of this self-defense class! Instructor Jui Chiu will show users how to get out of a choke hold, the importance of being aware of your surroundings, and how to use your wheelchair as a self-defense mechanism in an attack. Class is exclusively for people who regularly use wheelchairs for mobility.

Everyone attending will need to have a liability waiver signed before attending the session. Follow link under FAQ's to download. We will also have them at the event.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

No, all ages are welcome. Open to wheelchair users and their spouse or caregiver. Everyone attending will need to have a liability waiver signed before attending the session. Download liability form here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0ByOoQBJ39UgjaWRnbk02cDZCd28/view?usp=sharing

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

There is a bus stop right out front of Ability360 as well as the new light rail stop just to the west (opening soon) There is also a covered parking garage on campus. Dial a Ride and local taxicabs also bring people to the facility.
