Event description
Reading of selections from the new publication 'Donald Judd Interviews' co-published by Judd Foundation and David Zwirner Books.

About this Event

Organized in partnership with David Zwirner Books and Independent Curators International (ICI), the reading celebrates the new publication Donald Judd Interviews, which features sixty interviews of the artist in conversation with artists, critics, curators, and other contemporaries. ICI Collaborators read from these historical interviews with Judd, representing a diverse range of critical voices from the curatorial field who also have a connection to the publication or, by extension, Judd more specifically. The reading of interviews, sourced from over four decades, will be interspersed with archival video recordings of select interviews, selected by co-editor of Donald Judd Interviews, Caitlin Murray, Director of Archives and Programs at Judd Foundation.

Judd Foundation maintains and preserves Donald Judd’s permanently installed living and working spaces, libraries, and archives in New York and Marfa, Texas. The Foundation promotes a wider understanding of Judd’s artistic legacy by providing access to these spaces and resources and by developing scholarly and educational programs. Judd Foundation is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization.

David Zwirner Books was founded in 2014 as the stand-alone publishing house of David Zwirner. The imprint publishes catalogues, monographs, historical surveys, artist books, and catalogues raisonné related to the gallery’s renowned exhibition program. David Zwirner Books’s publications are produced with the highest of production standards in collaboration with some of the most respected authors, designers, and printers working today, and serve as a valuable resource to curators, scholars, students, and art lovers alike.

Independent Curators International (ICI) produces exhibitions, events, publications, research and training opportunities for curators and diverse audiences around the world. Established in 1975 and headquartered in New York, ICI is a hub that connects emerging and established curators, artists, and art spaces, forging international networks and generating new forms of collaboration.
