Indiana Automotive, an affinity group of Indiana Landmarks, hosts its third annual talk by Indianapolis Motor Speedway historian Donald Davidson on Thursday, March 30. In his engaging and entertaining style, Davidson will share stories of the famous track, a National Historic Landmark, and respond to questions from the audience. In fact, he loves the give-and-take of a Q&A session with an informed audience like those who’ve come to his talks the past two years at Indiana Landmarks Center.
Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. with a cash bar and Donald Davidson will take stage at 6 p.m.
An exclusive reception from 5-6 p.m., limited to 25 people, gives you an opportunity to meet and have your photo taken with Donald. This exclusive reception is $33 per person and does not include a ticket to the talk but does include beer, wine, and hors d'oeuvres.
Known for his radio program The Talk of Gasoline Alley, Davidson’s story-like responses to questions display humor and insider knowledge in equal measure. He’ll deliver his talk from the stage in the Grand Hall at Indiana Landmarks Center, 1201 Central Avenue in Indianapolis.
Davidson’s talk is $5 for members of Indiana Automotive, $8 for members of Indiana Landmarks, and $10 for the general public. The exclusive reception is $33.
The affinity group welcomes members interested in the early auto visionaries and the preservation of the cars they made, their factories, showrooms, and homes, and the landscaped parkways and roadside architecture birthed by the auto age.
