Don Snyder is known as one of the premier Cabaret entertainers in the business. He cultivated his skills at a young age touring with his own act. Soon he was performing in summer stock and eventually began working in productions with the Los Angeles Civic Light Opera. He has worked with such luminaries as Robert Goulet, Carol Lawrence, Milton Berle and Michael Crawford and performed leading roles in productions from Carousel to Desert Song.
His versatility took him to the “high seas” where as musical director for Jean Ann Ryan Productions, he spent ten years directing shows for NCL. As time permitted, he performed his solo act on Ocean Liners around the globe. On land he could be seen in the finest night spots and eventually opened one of his own where he produced and starred in a new show each month.
In Los Angeles, Don could be found working for the Dean Martin variety shows as well as various TV and Radio commercials. He also maintained an active career performing with local orchestras in oratorio and pop concerts. In the 1970’s Don was one of the featured performers at Maldonado’s Restaurant in Pasadena each evening and also played piano for the lunch hour.
He is currently the soloist for the First Christian Science Church of Glendale where he has served for 37 years. He is the weekly pianist for the Los Angeles Breakfast Club and has been in that position since 1989.
