Domestic Workers' Rights - Panel Discussion

November 7th, 7 - 8:30 pm at Larchmont Avenue Church

Have you ever wondered what it means to be an equitable employer in your own home? Do you employ a housekeeper, a nanny, an elder care provier? How much vacation should they get and what about sick leave? CURE continues our discussion about Domestic Workers with this workshop which will help us create dignified and respectful working conditions that benefit employer and worker alike. Tatiana Bejar from Hand in Hand and Jirandy Martinez along with local domestic workers from the Mamaroneck Community Resource Center will lead the discussion.

The event is presented by C.U.R.E, The Coalition for Understanding Racism Through Education. The coalition is dedicated to bringing a deeper understanding of institutional racism and how it affects our American politics, ideologies, treatment of each other and daily existence as a caste system society. We are hyper focused on serving the Larchmont and Mamaroneck community however, we wholeheartedly welcome anyone who is willing to change their lens around creating equitable institutions for all.
