About this event
Join presenter Nyla Whitehead for continuing education on the topic of Domestic Violence. This is required for initial and renewal of licensure for mental health professionals regulated under Chapter 491. This interactive workshop focuses on issues faced by mental health providers when working with clients who are living with active, slight to severe abuse within intimate relationships. The concepts in this workshop are not covered exhaustively. Rather, they are presented as an introduction and opportunity to process issues of domestic violence, best practices, systemic considerations, and competencies that may be incorporated into daily work with clients in both agency and private practice settings.
At the conclusion of the workshop, participants will be able to:

Identify systemic concerns of Domestic Violence
Describe better practices when working with clients who may present with DV
