About this event
This two hour workshop is formatted to be interactive with a limited number of students for high engagement. Our team will work through "real life" cases that involve Domestic Violence and or Intimate Partner Violence in a home. We will look at the situation, information gathered, statements, and more as we work through case progression as a team. This will help you to better understand the impact on children in the home and how to identify if the DV/IPV contributes to child maltreatment.
You will get to work with a team of professional child welfare case workers who use a forensic framework from intake through investigation. Dr. Kevin Marino has been applying forensics in child welfare for the sake of remaining objective, removing bias, and protecting the constitutional rights of all involved.
After completing the workshop you will be issued 2 continuing education units (CEUs) and a certificate of completion.
