We would like to invite you to attend a special teen maker pitching event, Dolphin Tank, hosted by Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDeC) and Young Outliers, the design entrepreneur camp for global teens. This event is similar to the Shark Tank show on TV but lesser intimidating and hostile. The pitching teams on the stage are talented teens from Malaysia and they will all pitch their startup ideas to our panel of industry reputable judges in Silicon Valley.
In 2016, MDeC initiated a youth program called Digital Maker Global Exchange (DMGX). The goal is to develop world class teen digital makers in Malaysia. It is a movement to create awareness and engagement to transform Malaysian youths from heavy digital users to producers in the digital world. After multiple rounds of competitions conducted in Malaysia, MDeC has chosen the top 10 winners (ages from 15 to 17) amongst hundreds. Before visiting Silicon Valley, our talented and passionate teens have gone through a local teen entrepreneurship program hosted by MIT Sloan Business School. They all have developed their problem statements, solutions, and prototypes. They intend to pitch their solutions to our Dolphin Tank judges and you.
We would be honored to have you as our Dolphin Tank guest on Friday, Dec 9th from 10am to 1pm to support our talented Malaysian teens. The event location is at MDeC Americas office, 530 Lytton Ave. Suite 300, Palo Alto. The dress code is smart casual. Lunch will be served at 12pm and we prefer to bring some delicious Malaysian food to all of you.
