Event description

Description

The Annual Dolores Huerta Prayer Breakfast brings together members of the DePaul faculty, staff, student and alumni community to celebrate the life and living legacy of Dolores Huerta as an activist for social justice within the Latinx community. This campus tradition educates participants about relevant contemporary issues affecting the Latinx community and cultivates collaborative opportunities to serve as allies for social justice.

The Diversity Signature Series highlights prominent national heritage month celebrations and cultural events of the university's centers, institutes and academic departments. Through this collaboration, the Office of Institutional Diversity and Equity creates an annual diversity calendar of sponsored programs that we help to promote throughout the academic year.

Keynote Speaker: Juan Gonzalez, author of Harvest of Empire: The History of Latinos in America.

Registration: 9:00 a.m.

Program: 10:00 a.m.
