Dolls' Tea Party at The Oxford Hotel - 3:00pm Seating
For more than 50 years, The Oxford Hotel Dolls' Tea Party has been one of Denver’s favorite holiday traditions. Experience this joyful winter celebration this year on Sunday, December 4 at LoDo’s most historic hotel.
The Oxford Dolls’ Tea Party is a classic tea with hot cocoa for the children and a light snack of tea sandwiches and assorted treats*. Children are encouraged to bring their dolls to the tea. The highlight of the Dolls’ Tea Party is a whimsical ballet performance by the Arvada Dance Company designed especially for the children, who will have an opportunity to meet the ballerinas and take complimentary photos with them.
About The Performance
Once upon a time there lived a young girl whose parents traveled a lot and since they were often busy, away on travels, and didn't spend much time with her, they would bring back a toy doll from each of their travels. While the girl loved the dolls from around the world, she wished more for her parents to play with her. Desiring a companion because she often felt lonely, the girl wished for her dolls to come alive and play with her.
One night the Dream Fairy heard the little girl’s wishes. She knew the little girl was lonely and decided to grant the child’s wish. When the child fell asleep, the Dream Fairy cast a spell on all the dolls making them alive and life size! The girl awoke to see all the magic and joined in the fun.
