When & Where
Our mission is to serve our community by developing sustainable community partnerships, and raising funds and awareness for local nonprofits.
Dollars 4 Change is dedicated to Service, Community, Growth, and Leadership. We serve by developing sustainable community partnerships and raising funds and awareness for local nonprofits through a number of different events held each quarter. We establish community at Ohio State by bringing together students from all different ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds into one group, by creating bridges between local non-profits and OSU students, and by initiating collaborations with other OSU student groups with extremely varied passions. We assist each other in growing as citizens by continually encouraging further commitment to our community and offering experiences to develop our interpersonal skills and maturity. Lastly, we craft leaders by providing guidance and insights from upperclassmen and by providing immediate opportunities for individuals to manage an event - a great leadership experience and challenge.
Events range from a philanthropic focus such as the PANCAN Dodgeball Tournament to an awareness emphasis such as the Local Foods Iron Chef Cook-off and to a pure service commitment such as Clean Sweep. All of the proceeds for each event are exclusively given to the nonprofit that is being supported by the event, and we strive to raise awareness for each cause as much as possible throughout the event.
