Friends Who Are Going
Event description

Now is your chance to sign your four-legged loved one up for a fun, and eventful day at doggie daycare. For this year's Halloween we will be hosting a Dog Costume Contest. At the time of drop off we will take a cute picture of your dog in his/her costume. then we will remove the costume before the dog enters our daycare. At the end of the day our staff will have a vote on which costume wins. We will have serval categories to choose from so make sure to pick out some good costumes!! Winner will win free giveaways for Boarding, Daycare and even Grooming. We will also post pictures of all the dog costumes on our Facebook Page. There will be snacks and drinks in our Lobby at the time of drop off. We look forward to seeing all the adorable costumes.

Being part of our pack in our daycare yards includes access to indoor, and outdoor shaded play yards where there is plenty of room and tons of activities for your dog to enjoy such as swimming, tug of war challenges, and even bobbing for tennis balls (dogs win prizes to take home). We are one of the largest dog resorts in the Sacramento Area, and we provide the uttermost care for all of our pets in our facility as well as our customers. Our staff are trained in Animal Psychology, Animal Behavior, and Animal CPR First Aid.

Here at Sacramento Pet Resort and Spa we dedicate ourselves to all of our loyal customers and accommodating their dog’s needs. Our employees are focused on caring for our clients and pet guests alike – their focus on safety, comfort, and fun ensures that your pet’s day will be truly memorable and they will go home exhausted! We separate small dogs from large dogs and also we make play groups based on their unique play styles. We provide swamp coolers as well as Big Portacool Fans that hook up to the hose to keep our Play Areas Temperature controlled. We have temperature gages in all of our play areas to ensure it remains a steady comfortable temperature for our dogs (not too hot). All of our play yards are equipped with multiple drinking stations.

Do you or someone you know have a dog that plays a little too rough? At our facility we have specialized play groups for dogs that like to be a little more rambunctious.

On the Flip side of things we also have an easy lounge where your dog can enjoy the company of other dogs and receive ALL the love and attention from our staff members in much more relaxing and calm play area.

Our trained staff will do temperament testing on all dogs before they will be able to participate in daycare. We will place your dog where he or she will do best.

Our staff absolutely LOVE taking cute pictures, and videos and posting them to our Facebook Page for our customer’s enjoyment. Make sure to follow us on Facebook in order to get a sneak peak of how your dog’s day is going while at daycare.

Q: I am not sure how my dog will react around other dogs? He tends to be nippy and likes to bark at other dogs.

A: Most dogs when entering a new environment such as a daycare center are always on their best behavior. It is common for dogs to bark when they are around their owners. They are just doing their job and trying to protect you. When your dog is here with our staff we will do a temperament test in order to get to know your dog’s personality better. Some dogs in general bark, and that is not always a bad thing it could just mean they are wanting attention, and are wanting to engage in play with other dogs.

Q: When I take my dog to dog parks my dog does not show any interest in playing with the other dogs. Will he enjoy daycare?

A: Every dog is different. Our staff will do their best to have each and every dog participate/interact while in pack. We have fun games, and actives that we host while out in daycare for the entertainment of our four-legged loved ones. We redirect dogs by calling their names, and giving them free belly rubs in order to get them to feel comfortable out in pack.

Q: Does your play yards have grass or turf for my dog to do his/her business.

A: Yes. We have shaded outside play yards with access to indoor as well. Outside we have K9 safe turf for your dog to go 1 & 2 on. We also have swimming pools outside for the dogs to enjoy and splash around in.

Q: Dogs out in pack have access to water at all times?

A: Yes. We have multiple drinking stations in our play yards. We can ensure that your dog is drinking fresh clean and cold water. We also provide swamp coolers as well as Big Portacool Fans that hook up to the hose to keep our Play Areas Temperature controlled. We have temperature gages in all of our play areas to ensure it remains a steady comfortable temperature for our dogs.

Q: Sometimes my dog gets overstimulated and will need a cool down period in order to prevent overheating.

A: We do have an air conditioned Cabana Room where dogs can go if they need a cool down period or if need a mid-day feeding. They will have access to fresh water and we provide a raised bed in our cabanas so dogs can be elevated up off the ground.

Q: Do you provide any other services other than dog daycare?

A: Yes, We provide overnight Pet Boarding, Training, and Grooming. We have a full service grooming salon. For more information about our additional services please call our office. Our staff would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.

Q: Do you offer tours at your facility?

A: Yes. We do offer tours of our facility between the hours 7am- 11:45am. We would love for you to stop by, and bring your dog to meet us!

Q: Drop Off Times, and Pick Up Times?

A: You may drop-off your dog any time between 7am – 12pm (noon). Our pick-up times are between 2pm - 6pm. Our Lobby is closed between 12pm-2pm. That is when our receptionist will go on lunch and our doors will remain locked until 2pm. We do still have staff behind the scenes tending to our dogs. 6pm is the latest for pick-up.
