Event Overview

Join me for a free educational talk on understanding dog communication — part of the Dog 1.0 Fall–Winter Series.Discover how dogs express themselves through body language/calming signals. Learn about the ladder of communication, and the 4 fear responses — and how this insight can prevent miscommunication between dogs and humans while addressing common behavior challenges.

This is an interactive session designed to make learning both practical and engaging. I’ll share key theory alongside clear visual examples and video clips that illustrate how dogs communicate through body language and subtle signals. Together, we’ll practice observation skills — learning to recognize these cues in real time and understand what they mean. Each session wraps up with a Q&A, where I invite participants to share their experiences and ask questions about their own dogs.

About Me

Hi, I’m Kasia, founder of Dog Mindful — a practice dedicated to helping dogs and humans build trust, connection, and lasting behavioral change.

I’m a Certified Behaviour Specialist, Ethical Dog Trainer, and Calming Signals Specialist, focusing on trust-based, relationship-centered approaches that prioritize emotional well-being over obedience.

My work is grounded in years of hands-on experience supporting rescue dogs and the people who care for them. Alongside running Dog Mindful, I volunteer as Assistant Foster Manager and Behavioral Support Manager at a local rescue.

I’ve studied with world-renowned experts including Turid Rugaas, Dr. Amber Batson, Kim Brophey, Suzanne Clothier and many more, and continue advanced education in Applied Ethology and Canine Myotherapy.
