Does your nonprofit have a 'digital team'? Are you considering one? Are you wondering what that means and what would it involve? Then this discussion is for you. The January 2012 MadTech Meetup is focusing on Digital Teams. Do you have one? Do you need one? What do they do? How can you do it? Is it possible to be a team of one?
Should you attend?
Yes! We think so. If you're interested or involved in your nonprofits communication efforts, including social media, email marketing, press releases, online presence, and even community collaboration, this conversation could be beneficial. This discussion was triggered in part by, the October of 2011 release of Communicopia benchmark study on Nonprofit Digital Communications (available for download).
We've particularly enjoyed the follow-up articles posted to the Stanford Social Innovation Review.
- 5 Dysfunctions of a Digital Team
- Four Models for Organizing Your Digital Work
- 7 Patterns of Nonprofit Digital Teams
You don't have to read the report or the articles beforehand, the discussion will hit on many of the ideas covered and expand upon them. All you need is to bring your questions, curosity, and expertise on what you and your organization is doing. You may also want to bring some pen and paper to take notes.
Pizza and soda will be provided since this is an after work discussion.
