The Barese Icemen of New York follows the story of the Italian immigrants from Apulia who dominated the NYC ice trade from the 1920s to the 1960s. Directed by Carlo Magaletti, discover what it was like to lug 100 lbs. of ice up 4 flights, and how the icemen made the shift to coal and oil delivery after refrigerators became the norm.
