History Theater, 2nd Floor, Augusta Museum of History

Turner’s Keyboards, Inc., and the Augusta Museum of History are pleased to co-host an inspiring event, a documentary screening of "Note by Note: The Making of Steinway L1037.”

There are two screenings: Matinee (2:30 p.m.) and Evening (6:00 p.m.), with identical presentations at both show times:

  • "Note by Note" is an 81 minute independent documentary that follows the creation of a Steinway concert grand, #L1037- from forest floor to concert hall. Watch the trailer here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qB-QI8Hi6M4

  • The film's producer and director, Ben Niles (Plow Productions), will appear in person for Questions and Answers.

  • The star of the show, Steinway L1037, a Model D concert grand piano, will be present on location for the screening. On loan from Steinway in New York, this actual grand piano is the one that was featured and made in the film!

  • Thomas Lloyd, 1st place winner of the 2019 Steinway Junior Piano Competition, will play 2-3 pieces on Steinway L1037 to conclude this evening of inspiration.

  • Afterwards, you and your family will have the opportunity to see Steinway L1037 up close and personal. You can even play this priceless piano if you wish!
