Filmfest DC and the DowntownDC BID are pleased to invite you to a special free screening of Banksy and the Rise of Outlaw Art. This 2019 documentary, directed by Elio España, focuses on the work and impact of the world's most infamous street artist, whose bold political art, audacious and humorous stunts, and daring, in-your-face approach outraged the establishment and created a revolutionary new movement while the artist's identity remained shrouded in mystery. The screening will take place on Saturday, August 13, at 4:00 pm at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library Auditorium.

This screening is presented in conjunction with The Art of Banksy, the largest touring exhibition of authentic Banksy artworks in the world, featuring over 100 pieces of original artwork. Now on display in downtown Washington, D.C., through August 21, 2022.
