Event description
An opportunity to network, share successes and challenges in documentary filmmaking

About this event

The Documentary Roundtable is a monthly program co-hosted by Docs In Progress and Women in Film and Video. Trailer Night is focused on peer feedback and includes time for networking. As an antidote to the documentary filmmaker working in isolation, it’s a brainstorming, networking, and support group all wrapped up in one. This is an opportunity to meet others in the documentary community; share your latest successes, challenges, and tips on documentary filmmaking; and provide feedback to several filmmakers on their trailers or scenes.

This month we are featuring the following filmmakers:

  • Michael Camoin - Sallie Mae Not
  • Vinícius de La Rocha - There is No Sushi Chef
  • Dave Haft - Working from Home

Trailer Night is facilitated by Simone Fary and Richard Hall, local filmmakers and longtime community members of Docs In Progress.

Docs In Progress has a community effort to support local restaurants called #DinnerandaDoc. We'll be giving away a $25 gift certificate to Spice Street (located in Silver Spring, MD) at the end of the event.

At this time, the program is being held remotely via Zoom. Log-in information will be distributed prior to the event via email.
