Are your events open to anyone, or just students?

Magdalen Monday Movies is for everyone. As well as providing a source of entertainment and cultural education, it is also an opportunity to share our resources with the community beyond the university walls.

Are your events always on a Monday?

Accepted Answer

No. Sometimes the auditorium is booked by someone else on Mondays. Check the Eventbrite listing. If it's not a Monday, the day will be clearly stated.

How come the popcorn is free?

Accepted Answer

The popcorn is generously funded by the President of Magdalen College as part of our programme to ensure students benefit from extra-curricular activities.

Once you've booked a Magdalen Monday Movies event you will automatically be added to our mailing list, and will be informed about future seasons.

What other film-related events do you organise, and how can I find out about them?

Accepted Answer

Lots! We host exciting discussion events and sneak previews such as the RSC's 'All's Well That Ends Well'. As a subscriber you will be notified about these sort of events. 
The Magdalen Film Society also hosts another two films every week during term time. These are for students at the University.
