The objective of this highly specialized 1-1 training is to give you a clear understanding of Microservices, Containerization and Clustering using Docker and Docker Swarm, and equip you with the knowledge to work with Docker on your own. You will learn the tips and tricks that will help you use Docker to improve your efficiency in your day-to-day DevOps activities. Assignments & projects will ensure that you are comfortable working with Docker independently.

  • Participants should have their own Linux based PC/Laptop or Mac with internet connection.


Three years after its introduction to the world, Docker is bigger than ever now. It takes containerization & micro services to a whole new level. Docker allows applications to be isolated into containers that can be easily ported from machine to machine. The ever-present challenge of replicating your production set up in development is solved with Docker. One of the main advantages of Docker is its resource efficiency. You can run multiple Docker containers on a single machine with lesser impact on the host machine's performance when compared to virtual machines (VM). Docker containers can be started with permission to talk to other containers. Each can have their own individual ports opened publicly, and they can even share resources of the base operating system.

Docker Swarm is a clustering and scheduling tool for Docker containers. With Swarm, IT administrators and developers can establish and manage a cluster of Docker nodes as a single virtual system.
