On Tuesday, January 28th at 6 p.m. Doc B’s Fresh Kitchen (100 E. Walton St.) will be hosting their first in a series of beer dinners with Lakeshore Beverage. “Beer Dinner #001” will feature full pours of five craft brews from Central Waters Brewing Co. (Amherst, WI), and a four-course meal prepared by Doc B’s executive chef, Ed McIntosh (C.I.A. ’06).
Learn about the intricacies of pairing fresh food with local craft beer as a representative from Central Waters Brewing Co. and chef McIntosh guide you through the menu; talking about the flavor profiles of the beer and why they pair well with the selected dish. The first guests to RSVP will get to take home a specialty pint glass from Central Waters Brewing (while supplies last). Below is a glimpse of the evening ahead:
Welcome Beer: Hop Rise Session Ale (Light, hoppy and bright; 4.5% ABV)
First Course: Shrimp Wok with Spicy Thai and Shanghai Lo Mein Noodles paired with Glacial Trail IPA. (Piney and Malty. Pairs well with seafood; 6.5% ABV)
Second Course: Spicy Prosciutto Pizza paired with Sláinte Scottish Style Ale (Smokey tones, dark fruits, and caramel; 7.5% ABV)
Third Course: Palm Beach Ribeye from Black Earth Farms, WI paired with Mud Puppy Porter (Roasted and chocolaty with a nice hop/malt balance. Pairs well with grilled meats; 5.5% ABV)
Dessert: Chocolate Chip Cookie Gelato Sandwich paired with Bourbon Barrel Stout (This is a part of the Brewers Reserve Series and is Central Waters' most highly sought after beer. This imperial stout is aged in oak bourbon barrels, resulting in hints of bourbon and vanilla flavors; 9.5% ABV)
Guests must be 21 or over to attend.
