Do You Like Slow Books?

Slow Books meets every 6 weeks to discuss books about the food system, written by chefs, critics, consumers, farmers, restaurant owners. They are memoirs, essays, novels, history. Our meetings include potluck dinners based on the books we are discussing.

We meet in members' homes, so attendance is limited to the number the host can accommodate. We are exploring ways to include more Slow Food members in our meetings, perhaps by scheduling more than one location simultaneously.

You must be a current member of Slow Food Sonoma County North to attend Slow Books meetings.

If you are interested in joining Slow Books, please come to a planning meeting to help select our books for 2026 and offer ideas for accommodating more people in our gatherings.

Please bring an appetizer to share. Drinks will be provided.
