Event description

Description

Academic grades, mental health and social relationships can all be influenced by our brain’s capabilities for learning, stress regulation, planning and decision-making.

Importantly, these abilities are also related to the quality of caregiving we received in childhood. Dr Anne Rifkin-Graboi discusses how and why parenting influences your child’s brain development, and examines how the nature of such associations may differ depending on our children’s age.

This talk is brought to you by the one-north Festival 2017.

The one-north Festival 2017 is jointly organised by the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) and the JTC Corporation, and is supported by the Singapore Science Centre.

The festival celebrates how Research, Innovation, Creativity and Enterprise are coming together in one vibrant community at one-north. This year’s theme ‘Pioneering an Innovation Future’ envisions how technologies in the one-north ecosystem play a key role in value creation.

Visitors on public days 18 and 19 August (Friday & Saturday) will be greeted with a variety of talks, interactive innovation booths and hands-on experiments for both students and families to showcase technologies in Future Work, Health and Living.
