Event description

Description

Whether you're just starting to think about college or you already have a vision for your future, this career-focused boot camp will help you consider how to have a social impact and build a successful career. We will explore the concept of tikkun olam ("repair the world") and the Jewish tradition of community service and how to weave these ideas into your professional life. You'll network with leaders in public service, higher education, and social enterprises (aka, businesses that make money and help others). And, you'll participate in a business planning design lab, thinking through how you could launch a business that is profitable while changing the world.

Speakers include:

Dr. Jennifer Curry, Education Expert and Lead Facilitator

Dr. Erica Foldy, Professor, NYU Wagner

Oliver Libby, Managing Director, Hatzimemos / Libby and Founder, The Resolution Project

Allie Mahler, Founder, Community x Design

Saul Miller, Senior Project Manager, Samasource

Rebecca Schumer, Chief Innovation Officer, The Greenhouse
