 DNA STORIES DISCOVERED AND RESOLVED

with Therese Hart-Pignotti and Dawn Kosmakos

Saturday, September 21, 2019  1:00 PM - 3:00 PM

This event is sponsored by CGS, but it will be held at:

 The Oakland FamilySearch Library

DNA relative matching often leads us to unexpected twists and turns while trying to uncover the truth of someone’s biological beginnings.  Therese and Dawn will share stories of surprises that popped up while researching various client’s birth families and provide some insight on how they analyzed and resolved the situation. Questions are welcomed.

Dawn Kosmakos is a genetic genealogist living in Martinez, CA. At the age of 45 Dawn took a DNA test for fun and discovered that the father who raised her wasn’t her biological father.  After successfully using DNA clues to find and reunite with her birth father, she became passionate about helping others with similar stories. She started as a search angel in Facebook’s Search Squad and DNA Detectives groups where she gained experience in solving unknown parentage mysteries using DNA. Dawn has two teenage boys and is very involved their school.
