DNA Special Interest Group

The DNA Special Interest Group  is the next step for those who have submitted DNA samples or are considering it and want to connect with others to learn and share the best steps and strategies to make family connections from the results. The group will meet monthly on the first Saturday at 1:00 to 3:00 PM with the exception of July.

Pam Miller will expand upon topics from her October 2016 DNA classes.  This will include more hands-on use.  The topics will change each month during the first quarter:
 * January for AncestryDNA
 * February for 23andMe
 * March for FamilyTreeDNA
In April and following months, the focus will be on member-suggested areas review, as well as new developments in the field. Time will be allotted for discussion of individual successes, barriers and problem-solving. Laptops are welcome for working on and sharing your results during the day.

Choose the next Saturday meeting date at the top, above.We are located in the historic Bruner Building at 22nd Street & Broadway, one block north of the Paramount Theater, in Uptown Oakland. We are just three blocks from the 19th Street BART Station.
