Description

If there are no tickets left: Please sign up for the waitlist here and Heather will notify you if any spots become available.

Come celebrate the Boy Who Lived's birthday with #DIYPG, Monday, July 31 from 6:30-8:30 PM! We'll be making three Harry Potter-themed crafts (but no Horcruxes), sipping on that sweet butterbeer, watching one of the movies, and complaining about how we'll never be able to afford Cursed Child tickets when it moves to Broadway.

Pre-paid ticket is required! Your $15 gets you:

  • One each of three crafts (two practical, one kitschy!)

  • Butterbeer!

  • A warm and enjoyable evening to forget that every year you live is one more year that you haven't received your Hogwarts acceptance letter (ouch)

Please let me know if you have any questions! You can reach me at heather.job@macmillan.com.

NOTE: By RSVPing with a prepaid ticket, you agree to the following:

I understand that any photo or video images captured of me at this event are hereby property of AAP’s Young to Publishing Group and may be used online at www.youngtopublishing.com as well as in affiliated YPG social media forums such as Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn for promotional purposes.

Things you might be wondering...

  • What if I can't make it?
You can get a refund for your ticket until July 24th! Please shoot me an email if you do return your ticket-- DIYPG events tend to have wait lists, and I want to be sure to offer your ticket to someone else as soon as I can!

  • What if I realize I can't make it after the refund window is up?
If you realize you will be unable to join us within a week of the event, you can give/sell your ticket to a publishing friend or coworker, or you can reach out to me and I'll connect you with someone from the waitlist looking to buy a ticket.

  • Why do we have to pre-pay?
Young to Publishing has no budget, which means that event material costs often come out of the pockets of committee members-- and this can get quite pricey for one person buying supplies for a large-scale crafting event. DIYPG is a relatively new event series, and after trying other methods of collecting supply fees, pre-paid tickets emerged as the best way to ensure that everyone attending the event knows what the supply fee is in advance, that everyone attending the event pays the supply fee, and that I don't go broke covering fees for people who don't attend!

Again, please email heather.job@macmillan.com with any questions. See you at Potterpalooza!
