About this event
In this 3 hr workshop we'll show you how you can turn "waste" material into a totally unique pair of house slippers a la Nicole McLaughlin!
Many of us have material waste lying around the home; an old pair of jeans, well worn towels, a fleece that no longer fits, or a blanket eaten by moths. Maybe you've tried repairing or upgrading your pieces to get more use out of them, have you ever tried to turn them into something completely new!?
Esther van Schagen, shoe designer and initiator of Amsterdam House of Arts & Crafts believes strongly in the sharing of ideas and creativity. Esther will guide you through the process to create your one-off slippers. To join the workshop just sign up and bring some materials with you to contribute to the groups waste materials supply.
This event is part of an ongoing event series brought to you by community car sharing brand Lynk&Co & sustainable fashion retailer, PARO STORE. Every month we share skills and knowledge between PARO STORE’s community of partners & designers and the local Amsterdam community hosted in Lynk&Co's Amsterdam Club.
Throughout the events series, we will dive into the world of fashion; with discussions and workshops that inspire you to make, mend and reinvent things in your wardrobes, in order to have a lighter impact on the planet. Follow @parostore to stay updated.
