DIY: Create A Geometric Glass Terrarium 2017
This is a one session class running the 4th Saturday of April and May 2017 from 1:30 - 5pm. Choose your date from the drop-down menu!
Summer is coming and with it, the blossoming greenery - come play with Ecco in her latest class creation: capture the season with style and bring it home! You'll learn the fundamentals of stained glass assembly to make your own little terrarium, and it is *way* simpler than you think. Plus, when you're done, you'll get to pick from a small buffet of plants and accoutrements to inhabit your creation! Plant care instructions provided.
Learn glass cutting, 3D solder assembly, and solder patina, as well as some simple terrarium tips.
Students must be at least 18 years of age.
a $50 materials fee is included to create a glass terrarium from scratch and fill it with a plant friend!
This class will not run with fewer than 4 students.
Ecco is a graduate of the School of the Museum of Fine Arts. She's a local artist with a passion for steel, specializing in creating wearable metal accessories (like the horns in her picture, or a set of wings for her back) and designing static and kinetic sculptures. Her previous work has included flapping pterodactyls, moth sculptures, a rideable dragon, and several other pieces.
